Chesterfield Reservoir

Has anyone been over to Chesterfield Reservoir this winter I use to fish it all the time before I moved im coming down there next weekend and wanted to see how it was if there was any safe ice out there

I was there twice this year and did well.  Have not been there since the middle of January.  My dad will be here from Arkansas next week and wants to try ice fishing, and I am planning on taking him up there.

I fished right straight out from the first creek that dumps in, kinda followed where the channel is and landed 4 or 5 smaller 12-14 inch fish, was out there from sun up until about 2pm ish but lost 3 or 4 at the hole and they were biting very soft, they would smack once or twice and be gone,  was not the best day of fishing  but far from the worst, ice is good 14-16 inches and edges are solid
