fishing in Turtle Mtns
« on: Feb 27, 2012, 07:24 PM »
I have been fishing a few of the lake in the turtle mountians such as carpenter lake for pike and perch i have caught alot of nice fish in the last couple of weeks. I have also fished hooker lake for rainbow trout and have done fair this last week with a few 1 1/2 to 3 pounders. Jarvis lake has been good for bluegill and perch with a few walleyes and pike being caught. School section lake has also been good for nice perch and pike but has been slower the last week or so. :icefish:

I haven't made it up to the turtle mountains area to fish yet but hope to.  I live in Williston and fish quite a bit around here, been doing pretty well with northerns and panfish.  Have had a tough time finding the walleye however.

Fished Upsilon quite a bit but it seems the big perch were hit hard the last couple of years.... still a ton of small pike to be had though...
