Honey's is still in the same spot under the store. There is another shop on the main drag, South Bay bait and tackle before you get to the corner Honey's is on. They've always been good to me at Honey's so I've never checked out the newer shop.
The angle of the dangle is directly proportionate to the heat of the beat.

Bring a thick wallet to Honeys! LoL  If your going by Hudson Falls , a better bet is Country Pets on Main st. Across from Eckard Drugs, Daves a good guy with alot of knowlege, and fair prices too.

Agreed. I always stock up at Conroy's before i head up there. The bait shop in the guy's living room(south bay bait) is much better out of the two. Same prices really both horrible, but hes always willing to share what info he currently has about the conditions and fishing. The grouch at Honey's, forget about it.

south bay bait is a much more pleasant place to stop, somebody is usually there if you ring the bell however his selection is limited and he usually runs out of bait towards the end of the weekend. as for honeys, well lets just say i go there out of necessity. im not going to bash anybody on here  but most of you that have stopped in there know exactly what im talking about, and its not just the prices.

Can I go fishing? Unless it’s on Brant, I can’t.

X2 for Country Pets in Hudson Falls. Dave has great prices, and the best bait around.

Any of you guys remember Tykes?
He was definitely my first choice back in the day.
For some reason I like that cranky old coot at Honey's.

Was that the little bait shop once you got out of the town of Whitehall on the right? Last year the guy at Honeys told us there was no ice on Champlian and we were wasting our time. Got out there and was walking on 8'' of ice and had a great day.

That was him. Dude used to keep his door unlocked for us. Dip your own bait, leave money on the counter. Doubt we'll see anything like that again.

Steve Phillips was a great guy!  He gave me my first tip up when i was 3years old, my dad and him were good friends. He did the kids fishing derby every year, and dont forget the "luck buck" he would give every kid a lucky dollar bill. Broke the mould with Steve!

Unfortunately the honor system doesn't work anymore these days. Oh how the times have changed.

Tykes was awesome!!  He was all about getting the kids out icefishing!   I still miss  him  and his shop.

In terms of bait and bait prices, Among others, Hank on Rt 9 at Round Lake Bait and Tackle has been very good to me.   He's a nice guy that sells bait like he's trying  to give it away.    Great selection of Emeralds.

There was a lot of moaning my last visit to Honey's about how slow business had been this year. Two thoughts immediately crossed my mind. 1. With prices like that, it's no flailing wonder! 2. You don't have to make it up on me all at once! See ya.....but don't hold your breath.

There's a good shop in ticondaroga up by the Walmart where the fairy is . Not sure of the name . We found it on our garmin under bait and tackle.  Little out of the way if your comin from the south lots of bait . Bait is expensive everywhere nowadays.
