planning a trip to Lake of the woods any good info?

Planning a trip to lake of the woods where should I go and where is best place to rent cabin on lake close to good fishing hoping to find something close or rent a snowmoible because taking wife and 6 year old . Any info would help me  Thanks All Good Luck and be safe

Walleye season closes in 7 days maybe 9 but you might want to look into that before you go if you plan on catching them. I stayed at Zippel bay resort and had a great experience with them. Not sure on snowmobile rental though. Sorry can't be of more help.

Heading up there March 10-13 myself. Walleye season on LOW goes until April 15

Notime you are absolutely correct. That changes everything and I might just have to figure out a new plan in march

It's open till April 15th on LOTW and closes throughout minnesota on Feb. 26th this year.

Cool ya think ice will be good because on sunday called up there to plan trip and they said it was 45 up there on sunday But they have two extentions on there augers It got good and thick up there hoping to breakin my new auger up there Good Luck and be safe!!!

They had thirty inches up there last week. We are heading up in 3 weeks. Taking the bus up to Ballards. Our first time, should be interesting
