cascade lakes kokanee numbers

I caught a nice 14" kokanee today on a perch jig neverless....i was wondering if the lake had good kokanee numbers and if so where abouts would be helpful....thanks  Tony

hey tony, last year they were pretty good, I caught a few last year 3 in 30 mins. all about 10", caught em' in 30 ft. water, fishing 10 or so feet down on a couple perch jigs and a worm, you can catch them in the mouth....

Hey, are you sure they were kokanee?I caught 4 nice 16 inch fish that all had a dark colored tongue.They look like kokes but I think with the dark tongue they are coho?I have never caught a coho or kokanee but they are very close !Could anyone tell me if a kokanee has a dark tongue?We had probably another 10 on but lost them they would come through in huge schools and light up the whole fishfinder,kids had a blast!

yea those were koke's i'm pretty sure.... they were slick silver... tasted good in the smoker....

Matt i was the guy at tons with the 2 lb der last one to weigh in standing by the door. Yeah im certain mine was a kokanee real silver and i think it did have a dark tongue ?? Matt what did your big fish weigh? Your bucket had some pigs in it...

my top 3 were 2.06, 2.02, and 1.77 I think, not sure, Tom didn't post the individual weights and I didn't write them down.

Nice.....id like to see someone break the state record...theres gotta be a 3+ in there. Every 2+ ive caught have been females.

cohos have dark spots along the back, sockeye (kokanee) have none
