Black Hills Friday and saturday

A buddy and I are coming up to the Black hills to ice fish, if anyone is going to be out let me know and we can meet up. Good luck this weekend and safe ice.

Me and a friend or two will likely be going out Friday.  We are after trout and want to try Horse Thief, then maybe Legion or Stockade.  I have been ice fishing 4 yrs now and am no pro but we usually bring home some fish.  If this jives with your plans let me know.

Ok. We are staying in Rapid City (coming from Nebraska) and we dont know the area too well. We have been looking into Sheridan and Pactola. Would like to go after some panfish and northern pike

I know I'm out for Friday, still trying to coordinate whether I can go Sat or Sun... if I can't I can take a game fish and parks map of Sheridan and crayon in a few places I'd hit... but I'm not an expert on that lake either...my favorite lake (Orman) was open a few days ago. I fish Sheridan just to get out on the ice.

Lemme know if you want some crayoned up maps.

 I was on orman today and the whole lake is frozen and i fished 4.5in today for a coulpe hours.  Would have fished longer but got ran off by the wind( was only planning on checking the ice out anyways.)

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated since i have never been there. Send me a pm with your contact info and when i get to rapid tomorrow we can maybe hook up and talk some strategy

we did really well yesterday. went to the swim beach off of 385 and caught 5 trout and a limit worth of crappie, only caught one perch. We are hoping to get into the perch today, just about to head up the the hills now so ill be away from my comp-ter so if anyone is out we will be in the 385 area. We will be in the red Eskimo hub shelter and the clam fish trap, come stop by and see us

We just stuck with Sheridan that weekend.
