losing ice
« on: Jan 26, 2012, 12:22 AM »
lost 1 1/8" of ice since the rain on Monday and no more snow on top... saw lots of drain holes that formed in the ice and the edges are gettin bad.. Might have to plank it after the rain thurs and fri.  Watch your step.  If you were Fishin on three or less last weekend you might be under two inches now. Be careful guys. Don't wanna go swimming this time of year!

unfortunately, i think this year is over before it really got started  :-\
last winter was awesome, so it is an even bigger let down to not be able to really get out this year

Its defenatley not a 70 + day season like the last few years, but not a total loss... February has ice holding/making potential and I have no doubt that its close to being over any time soon, but the part that sucks is that we cant just fish any lakes we want especially the larger ones and lower elevations. And the southern counties are wide open!
