First cleaners of the year, nothin special by no means. Prolly caught 75 plus fish. Kept a limit too clean. Like i said nothin special except for the bonus crappie right before i left. Had 4 in. of ice. All fish caught on plastics, no live bait for this guy this year. Thanks for looking fellas. Be safe out there.

It is something to brag about, after the start to the year were having with these ice conditions. My Lx-5 hasn't looked like that in 10 months. Did you get those in LaSalle Co. ? Good luck the rest of the season.

I got some on Sunday but mine looked to be about the same size. I kept about 40 and cleaned them. May not of been braggin size but it was nice to be out. Just bad that it was soo crowded. Probably 20 people all in the same small area.

I wouldn't put the equipment away yet. There will be safe ice for a lot of the northern Illinois lakes by this weekend. Even after the rain we had the ice on the lakes that we keep tabs on is in pretty good shape. These next few days and nights will firm up what is soft now and we'll be good to go. So come Saturday it will be game on!
