Whats the ice and fishing like at Hendrick Lake. Never Been there before want to take my sons  Fishing on my birthday this weekend . Do i have a chance??? What a year for ice fishing!!!!!!!

Hendrick north of Riceville , IA ?? .. will give my uncle a call there .. he is retired and fishes a lot

Lots of lookers no takers.  Ice is a good eight inches.

I was there back in Dec. close to being the 1st one out on that ice. If you fish close in to the point that runs out there is a lot of brush and usually will produce some keeper fish. RH

Dan03rev  yes the lake north of riceville.  That would be great if you can find out more info about the lake for I plan on going Saturday

  Made it to Hendrick Lake on Sat. Did get there till 1pm had to wait for my little troops and my brother that's on a whole other time zone . Had a great time The fish hit hard a 4:00pm Got 4 crappies and 4 blue gills 9 inchers  Could of got more but had a 4 year old 5 year old and 8 year old and 37 year old to tend to Couldn't get the lines back down fast enough. The ice is a solid 9 inches the water is dirty the camera was still working not as good as normal but still keeps the kids into fishing for long periods of time.

sorry i didnt get to you on this one .. my uncle was out of town for a few weeks so i didnt have any info for you .. i do know the inside turn on the point just south of the boat ramp holds good size fish ..
