Lubricating poles?
« on: Jan 15, 2012, 08:46 AM »
What is the best sliding pole lubrication method? Parrafin wax? Pledge? Oil? Silicone spray? Suggestions?

I want to reduce freeze-up and make everything operate smoother.

Thanks,

Dave

I use Turtle Wax.  I slather it on and slide the poles a bit to get it worked in.

I'd use Armor-All protectant. Spray on/wipe off. One application should cover a whole season.

I use silicone spray and back the area up with newspaper to prevent over spray.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

Got 'er right, Dawg. Me too. I hit the zipper at the same time. Overspray won't harm the fabric and helps water to slide right off.  ;D

Same stuff I use to keep my boots water proof.
