straight line
« on: Jan 16, 2012, 12:20 PM »
Has anyone used the new straight line rod & reel.  It's basically a small fly reel on a ice pole.  I'm real interested but the $50 - $60 price tag is a little more than I care to spend on a rod and reel.

buy a cheep fly reel at meijers, ( $12-14), try it , you may not like it ,takes a little gettin used to, ,(some fly reeels have no drag, some do), but with a bigger arbor, line stays straighter.
