Saturday you couldn't get on it.  Edges were opened up West of the Bridge.  With the cold might be better.  Don't know what that wind did to it though.

For a comparison, George was mostly open on Saturday.  Yes it's been cold, but that wind can't be helping to much.

Good on the west end.  Open under the bridge.  Don't think I would go to the island yet.

Was on big woods for about 2 hrs sunday morning.  Managed about 20 crappies!!  There was about 5 inches of good ice!  Feels good to actually be on the local ice :)

I just drove by Brinker's and there were 4 guys out W. of the bridge and open water by the boat landing. Geo Wyth had about a dozen guys on it scattered from one end to the other. RH

Was at GW & Brinker Sunday afternoon scouting around. There seemed to be about the same # of people on both. 6-8 shacks or so. Talked with a couple guys coming off W side of brinker & they said there were about 3.5" to 4" of ice. Was still open water under the bridge the the eastern part of the lake. They said got a handful of small bluegills but that was about it. I don't know how they were doing on GW.

I was out there(BW) in front of the shelter on the south end for about 2hrs, drilled about 15 holes from 12-20+ feet and only marked 2 fish. I didn't get out there until 11:00am though, a couple of guys did good early but said it had slowed after 10:00

Why can't I just go to work and think that I've been fishing all day?

I think the fish shut off from the snow on the ice.  Hoping these winds blow it all off.  Forgot how much of a chore it was to walk out with snow on the ice.

Speaking of Big Woods.  I have to ask, are there walleye in there?  I was scouting around Sunday & to my surprise I saw signs posted about a 15" size limit on walleyes.  Did the local walleye club stock some in there?  I didn't see any postings about tags & reporting them.

DNR has new surveys of all the Waterloo lakes from this summer along with what was released.  I will link it when I get home!
