HELP!
« on: Jan 09, 2012, 06:47 PM »
I'm from CT, and it's been about 50 degrees here every day, so getting out on the ice anytime soon (or at all) is not looking promising.  Trying to get outta here and head north for the weekend to anyplace where the ice is safe.  Where's there good ice in VT or NH, preferrably somewhere with pike?  Anyone know how Bomoseen's looking?

Check the VT and NH conditions and reports. I can tell you there is no love in Southern VT at the moment.

Most of Champlain through the islands is safe... 9-10 inches up where I am, already got a hardside out

There is a lot of safe ice around me in Southerm/Central NH! Been fishing for two weeks now.
Quote- fishslap: I use a variety:  whistlin' bungholes, spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser

Welcome aboard Global, yea you should check the ice conditions report for each area or go to each state site you want to fish & read the threads & some will tell which is safe & which is not.
