Ice Shack Tarps
« on: Jan 13, 2012, 07:35 AM »
Does any one know who would sew the tarps for the coquette stye ice shacks. There was a guy by the name of Guckert I believe that used to but no longer is in business. Anyone with any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Talk to Canadian Tarpaulin. I got a canvas one done for my old shack (not coquette tho) I gave them the plans and my ideas and they worked with me to make them better. Great guys there! Just if your planning to put a wood stove in it, maybe leave that part out if you don't want to pay for their fire retardant materials - by law they couldn't sell me anything other than fire retardant after I told them I would have a wood stove in it. I wasn't too worried cuz it was what I wanted anyways.

You could try Denham Awning in Saskatoon.

Regina Tent and Awning is a good place to go, they will do pretty much anything you need if you ask!

Gueckert sold his stuff to a guy in Maple Creek, I believe his name was Clayton Schiller.  I tried looking him up again last year but could not find him and his website was non-existent.  I bought one of his plans a few years back, very nice set-up.

Spoon,

How much are you asking for your coquette and what kind of shape is it in?
