Ice Fishing At Night

Does anyone have a idea on how to make a lantern stand to suuport your lantern to elevate it somewhat for night fishing. I know you can buy them for about $18.00 and they are 5ft. in height.

In most cases when I elevate my lantern it just creates a big shadow area beneath it. I find it's better to keep it closer to the ground. A stand is just another thing to take with you. If you need it up, put it on a bucket.
