Lol! Okay so the season is open.. I can honestly say I thought it opened Jan 1st I have always started my ice season on that date. T guess I have been cheating my self on some good days. Anyways.. I'm happy with the amount of feedback of this post let's keep it coming.I knew the weather was warm in my area, I had no idea that so much of southern and central ontario was still to mild I figured the kawarthas would be iced and surely Ottawa by now. Oh well I guess it's going to be a long drive for me once I'm prepped to go fishing. ( since I thought I had to wait for the new year haha)Well let's hope for a cold snap. Here's a funny story.. Yesterday I went to a local park in my neighborhood to check the ice thickness. Since I knew at the ponds deepest point was about 5 feet I decided to chance walking on the ice. First step on the Ice crack crack crack.. This doesn't sound good oh well I talked my self into walking across the pond. I'm determined to do it so I start shuffling crack crack crack as I go I make it half way and just as I say to myself hey here bark is as bad as her bite. Crash I go thru. Waist deep wow it was cold not doing that again anyways learned the hard way that the ice is an inch and a half lmao..Scugogyeti,
