Tower Lake (Yellowthroat)
« on: Dec 18, 2011, 09:40 AM »
Has anyone tried the Tower Lake south of Ainsworth?  I have lived in Bassett for three years now and have threatened to make the drive over there a couple of times but always choose to fish a little closer to home.  I have heard lots of good things but never first hand.  The information is always someone's brother in law's cousins uncle that limited out.  I would be targeting panfish and pike if I were to go.  Not asking for specific spots, just if anyone has had any experience there.

Just had a relative of one of those guys tell me they were on Yellowthroat this last wk/end. They told me they had never been there, but caught good perch/gills! Sounds like a place to try, I've not heard of it before, is it close to Twin lakes???

its actually closer to Willow Lake in brown county. It is east of the highway. I have never fished it but know a few guys that went up there 4 or 5 times last year and did well.

I fished it last year got a few nice gills and some small crappies and two nice bass that went back I do not think there are pike in that lake but I could be wrong.
