fly tippet
« on: Dec 11, 2011, 07:41 PM »
hello, has anyone out there ever experimented with using fly tippet either on their tipups or jigging. seems like it would be a good option rigging tipups for bows due to it's low visibility.

sure thing...4X is about 6 lb test but is very thin at .007 diameter....the 3lb test sufix ice magic mono I put on my jigging rods would be like 6X .oo5 dia....most tippet spool only hold 25 to 30 yards of material so that can be a limiting factor...

Scott,
It comes 3 to 15 lb. test, as for standing up to the cold I would think it would be just like any other Fluorocarbon, I guess will we found out soon.
