Has anybody fished Silver Lake in Delhi?

never ice fished it but have caught some real nice gills in there during open water. word on the street is that it used to be amazing fishing but before the limits were put on the gills that it got overfished by guys taking them by the hundreds and the population hasnt rebounded very well. its definately worth a shot

it had a big fish kill over the winter had good fishing on early ice prior to the kill  :(

Is it worth taking the trip about a hour? Is there pike still in that lake? Crappies any good.

I fished it late last season and caught some nice small Bluegills and one Northern Pike about 30" or so. All on a small jigs and a waxworm. Along the trees was best. Don't know, though, what impact the fish kill had. We'll see later when we get some safe ice up here. My little pond is thin and wet all around the edges.
Need a cold snap which doesn't seem to be coming. :(
There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the ice looking like an idiot.
