Kokanee Northern Colorado
« on: Dec 08, 2011, 03:19 PM »
Hey Ya'll just curious if anyone is familiar with any good Kokanee fishing in the Northern Colorado area.   About 8 years ago the day after Christmas my dad and I slayed the Kokanee up in Wyoming pretty sure it was at Lake Hati (but not sure) .  Jiggin Rattle Traps to draw them in and then dropping jigs down once they were drawn in our ice hut was just filled with eggs from pulling up the spawning females.  Till this day it was one of the best fishing experiences I have ever had and I'd like to experience that again if anyone has any info! ;D
-If home is where the heart is then mine is not one surrounded by bricks or covered by a ceiling, rather one surrounded by mountains and covered by a Colorado sky.

You know I am not sure about salmon in the Northern part. At least I don't remember anyone talking about them.

Colorado has had ice since November. I went ice fishing on the 10th of November. Went again today in another place.
