Anyone have any reports on Grove?  Thinking about trying it this weekend.  Thanks!

I bet the ice is good enough. There are plenty of fish in there.  I'd call the grove lake bait shop and make sure the ice is safe before making the trip though.
Where's the ice

Thanks guys.  I actually talked to Randy earlier today and he said the ice is 5" so should be a good 6" after this cold snap.  My dad is coming up from southwest NE this weekend so I hope the fishing is good.  Bent poles for all!

Spark, have you ever fished rod and gun?  Rumor has it, there's some huge crappie in there.  Any truth to that?

Ya, when I lived up there I fished it all the time.  Not sure about now but back then it had nice crappie and even some nice perch.  Have a buddy that fishes it alot and he seems to do rather well.

Not sure if you are willing to share but was wondering, where is rod and gun and is it public or membership only. I Fish the stream feeding grove often and have never heard of rod and gun.  I completley understand if you don't want to give out that info but just curious.
Spilled spot remover on my dog.  Now I can't find him

Rod and gun is about 5 miles north of the black top that goes to grove on Hwy 14, when you get to the S curve you take a left on the grave.  About a mile West of Hwy 14 on south side of road.  They use to want you to be a member back in the day.  Not sure who you would even contact on that any more.  But I would be able to find that out if your interested.  Would just have to make a couple calls for ya.
