Whats the scoop on colonie

I was wondering if the fishn is any good up at colonie in the winter I understand there are bass and crappies some trout up there but its a long way to go if its not very productive lol

Is that the lake on private land? I used to fish there in 1985, that was a good bass spot back then aint been back since.

yes I do believe so I have never been there

yes its on private land but they allow fishing just go when its super cold or only if the roads dry its up in the bentonite(sp) hills so the road gets sloppy but the fish was good last time i went

The secret is definately out on colony it was great fishing years ago and now it's still not bad fishing but people pound the crap out of it now a days I'm from Gillette myself so you know what it means once start seeing 17 county vehicles then it's over.LOL I still hold out hope that there a big bass left in there it keeps me going at least once a year.

LOL yes the good ol 17 county seems like once word gets out it not long and its a city out there o well as long as they are bein conseritive on the amount of fish bein taken. We only take what we need for a dinner that night that way there is a reason to come back later
