Collins Bay + Rainbow Trout???

I'm on the BOQ forum and someone asked about ice fishing on Collins Bay and one of the members replied saying some guys fish it near the bridge for Rainbows? Has anyone else heard of this or tried it?

nope, that's news to me.  I guess rainbows could be there, but I've never heard of that or seen anyone ice fish there.

I'm wondering if it's a fun prank someone is trying to play on the other forum...but who knows, like you said they technically COULD be there but hard to believe.

seems off to me, but then again i have seen stranger things. I fish the peir, no trout

It might not be  - I thought someone was pulling my leg about a salmon run by the lower brewers mills locks, had to see it to believe it.

Hmmm, well if we get some REALLY solid cold spells I might try the flat near the bridge...worth a shot I suppose.
