what lures for white perch

Technically they are part of the bass family, but they sure look like a Perch to me !  I tend to have good luck with the smaller Slender spoons from Custom jigs and spins, Some swear by the smaller Swedish pimples ! I use a single hook with a small shiner head or tail, 9 times out of 10, you tend to catch more then one out of a whole because of the wolf pack like behavior of schools of white perch cruising thru an area ! I set tip ups in a line acoss access channels to structures that hold baitfish like rock and brush piles weeds and humps and reefs. Any time a flag pops, I imeadeatly jig that hole and normally pick up one or two more !

i have some swedish pimples, do the slender spoons work well in lakes with the rainbow smelt, was looking at them and they seem kind of wide.  ive always taken them on tipups, was thinking to drill two holes for each tip up and jig next to the shiner to maybe help move the school in. do they take the small jig and plastic like the crappie do.

I've caught them on gill jigs and perch jigs.  Usually right before it gets dark.  The flasher comes alive with color from top to bottom.  Action is fast but furious.  I love those little fish, they fight hard.  And Yes, they are in the white bass family.
