Closest for you would be either dailey lake or canyon ferry, easiest fishing would be somewhere you could use minnows.  Tiber is a good one, I know you can use minnows on tongue river, but i've never fished it.  not sure about cooney either.

It is a long trip from Boseman but Crooked Creek at the head of Fort Peck holds some Walleyes...The cold weather these last few days will relly help the ice conditions as well...

Tiber or Bighorn Lake.
You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning!

The best way in my opinion to catch eyes is to fish a lake that has a decent population, learn the lake and waite for the bite. You do not need live bait nor do you need dead minnows to catch them. Just patience and an idea of where they are. Peck is not the only place to land nice fish.

Devils Lake. ;D  Peck would be a good place to go but would be a long ways for a weekend trip.  Don't overlook the closer lakes both Dailey's and Canyon Ferry can produce some good fish if you put alittle time in.

All these fish were caught with large montana shiners they work the best when you use tipups ;)
