Fishing in November? ....... Yes :) Fishing on ice in November? ........ No :(   That snow won't stay until November, and then its gonna take some subzeros in a row to freeze anything solid enough for me to stand on! Closer to Christmas I think ..... any other guesses?

Last year my son and I were on 10" of solid ice Dec 11.  If I'd have known there was 10" by then, I'd have been there sooner!! It's coming... - OH

A buddy of mine from Bozo and I have talked about doing such things a little later in the season, so we can play in the snow as well! ;D But if your going in my area and think you want some company let me know. That could be a lot of fun!!

It's been a few years, but one of the best days of fishing I had was on Francis the weekend before thanksgiving.  I was visiting a buddy that lives there, we went hunting and I bagged a nice big buck early the first morning, I didn't really want to head home yet so we thought we would check the ice.  We had about 3-4" about 200 yards from shore, so we went and grabbed his tip-ups and we couldn't keep up baiting all the ones going off, we would literally set the line, turn around and hear it go off before we were ten feet away.  If it's cold enough you can get good ice in november, especially right next to the front there.

Early ice is my favorite.
I'm pretty sure I was on ice thanksgiving weekend last year after filling some deer tags too.

I am a proud resident of gfalls now robbi, job tranfered me down here. I am definitely going to newlan this year. I bought a little camper and I plan on using it for weekend trips to lakes. How is the road from here to newlan in the winter? I went there once last year but it was from the opposite direction.

Right on MT.............we'll have to make a trip together.  The roads are about the same either way you come in, however, from this direction you have to go over King's Hill and that can get dicey.  Normally nothing a good front wheel or four wheel drive can't handle as long as it's not a storm in progress.  Welcome to the Big City of Great Falls........!!

I fished the Causeway, Salmon Lake and Georgetown in November last year, I'm sure there'll be something locked up around Thanksgiving.

Ice on the Beaver Creek ponds each morning! Down right cold here, kids will be wearing plenty of layers underneath those costumes ;D
