...never used grubs. Does anyone here have pics of proper hooking techniques of each type: i.e, waxies, mousies, spikes?

there is no so much as 1 proper technique, they can be fished a few ways.

this is the most common that i see..




You can also hook them through the body so it lays horizontal across the hook. Other guys will slide the hook through the body and leave a bit of tail dangling below the hook.

thanks. i was kinda figuring that was it, but i have often pondered the mousie...i guess i stick the hook such that the breathing tube is a "danglie", correct?...btw...like your avatar pic...i used to work in corrections.
