Visiting MT
« on: Oct 30, 2011, 06:17 PM »
Hi all,
I'll be visiting family in bozeman during thanksgiving week, do you have ice already by then. If you do, was wondering if i can tag along with someone to fish one day that week.
Thanks

I don't know. I'm going to guess we won't. Maybe Goergetown might by then. Someone might be making th two hour drive up there if they have some ice by then. Good luck finding someone.

There's about 4 inches of snow on Kings Hill, but I haven't heard anything about Newlan Reservoir yet.........it just might freeze early if the weather should stay cold for a couple weeks...........

One good bet near Bozeman is going to be Hyalite.  Georgetown would also be good, just a little more travel time.  I was on ice thanksgiving weekend last year but its hit or miss that early.  It all depends on if we get a good cold snap like the last couple years.  Hit up one of us for an ice report, you'd be more than welcome to tag along
