Cold tonight, then a warm spell with winter weather beginning friday night. Next weekend looks iffy but then small water iceing.

My first shot at hitting the ice this year may be Sunday am. There was still ice leftover after yesterday at my early ice spot. Gotta see how it makes it through the week. Friday and Saturday night should help but not sure how much.

I think I could handle losing the house and living in the woods for a while but I don't think the wife feels the same way.

[/quote Ice picks are a great idea this season.. I had an opportunity to do two days on 4 to 5 inches last weekend further north some private place. Anyway, everything is ready, should be likely early next week. Remember to bring a spud, I found 3.5 inches and 5 inches within 70 yards from one poke to the next. gl and be safe on the early ice.

Key word is worth fishing. I am going to accept fishing in dink land on Saturday....maybe make a try for someplace larger on Sunday.
