Just found this site at the end of last season and didn't get to fully explore it. But the itch arrived early this year and here I am again like a kid before xmas. But here's my question:  I was just given to opportunity to purchase a 6'x8'x6' fiberglass well head hut, and thought it would be sweet for an ice shanty. But i have no idea how I would be able move it around once on the lake. I though about Snowboards/skis or a removable/pivoting axle. But wasn't sure how to go about it. It is already really heavy so it wouldn't be good on any "thin" ice. I know i have seen ones that are similar to enclosed trailers and was wondering if anyone had ideas. Thanks guys and good luck as the season begins!!

Several years back I new a man that had one on Keyhole and all I can say is it was very warm.. His was foam inselated and had a wood stove.  Its all about getting it to the ice and moving if you need or want to.  I have a homemade one 9x7 and I have water skis that I use when I move it.  One thing you need to do when you put the holes in the floor is to make some type of hole insulator/insert they make a huge difference on keeping your hut warmer and hole from freezing up.
