ice armor suits
« on: Dec 26, 2010, 09:07 AM »
Ice armor suits are offering mail in rebates on the clam site at the tps of the page.  So if anyone got a new suit for X Mas and you dont know about the mail in rebate get them mailed in before the end of the year and save yourself some coins.  25 to 40 dollars off I think it said.   Ed

I've seen these suits in Dick's in the past, may be worth checking them out.

Thanks. There is another suit that some of the Ice Shanty members had at Moose head last year also. Which is better?

I am looking for some as well, I've heard great things about them. I'm looking for just the bibs. Glen's Army Supply (one of our sponsors) has by far the best prices that I have found and free shipping. HOWEVER, I've checked pretty consistently and they only have smaller sizes, I'm looking for an XL. Also check out the arctic armor stuff too because I've heard excellent reviews on them as well. Let me know how you make out, I'm in the Bangor area as well.

The Arctic Armor by IDI floats, the IceArmor by ClamCorp. doesn't...
I've got the itch... No, not that one. It's the good kind.
It's pronounced "fay-len" (the x's are silent)

I have an Arctic armor suit, which I love.  It floats, is very light and keeps me very warm.  http://www.idigear.com/arcticarmor.php  I got it from fish307.com but I'm not sure how fast they could get you one.

I just bought an Arctic Armour suit and love it. I haven't been on the hardwater yet but i love how thin it is, but still keeps me dry and very warm when snowblowing. They have them at Van Raymonds in Brewer, but their price is ridiculous. I shopped around and found the best price to be $320 with free shipping and a free pair of gloves. This is of course more than the ice armour but all it takes is going through once heaven forbid and the suit has paid for itself. For me it's about piece of mind, i am not going to be reckless but it nice to know i will atleast float if i fall through. Another thing i like about it is it comes in a few different color patterns and you don't have to look like everyone else with a blue or gray suit that ice armour makes. Hope this helps, pm me if you have more questions.

Ice Armor Cold Weather Suits
Hey guys thinking about buying an Ice Armor Cold Weather Suit but wanted to see if anyone on here has one and how they like it and if it keeps you warm enough? The one I'm looking at is the $270 one and not the $350.
