Round Lake Itasca county

Anyone got any recommendations for hot spots on Round Lake in Itasca County.

We are heading up there next week for some late season fishing, was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for good spots there.

GPS coordinates would be awesome! 

Anyone been there lately? hows the ice conditions.

Still fishing near home in LaCrosse area, we lost about 10 inches of ice, but still have a good 10" to work with.  Hoping this week should be good for perch and crappies.

I guess I didn't realize what I was asking....duh... probably wouldn't share my good spots on open web either...sorry!

we are headed up later this week.  hope we still have good ice.

last year, we had a bit of a chore getting on the ice, but once we were on, it was solid.  just had to jump a bit of water to get to the ice.

really looking forward to getting out on the ice up there. 

i went out last week here, but probably the last day, ice is pretty bad now.

you should be good to go but they are expecting up to 15" of new snow tonight and tomarrow..if you have a place to stay up there it would be wize to call ahead..

Yeah, we saw the forcast... will change things up a little.  perhaps bring snowmobiles instead of ATV's

we've been calling them so much they are probably getting sick of us!

luckily, one of my nervous  nelly buddies is doing all the calling...

I guess it we can't get on the ice, we could sit around, relax and play cards... and have an adult beverage...things could be worse

either way, we will have fun.  supposed to be a nice weekend.

Just got back from an amazing trip up there.  the snow missed them.  all the slush that was on the lake 2 weeks ago is frozen solid.

Ice is excellent, drove the pickups on the ice - good landing access, good 24" of ice. should be good through the week I would guess.

big perch were hitting, nice 12" - 13" inchers.  lots of smaller ones too.

we caught some on round lake, and bowstring.  some of our party had a good catch on Winni too.

I think this week is going to be hot action with the weather!  wish I could stay up there.

we saw most of our action in 7-8 feet of water (except Bowstring - 18 - 20')
