Anybody going out this weekend. Looks like Bolton, halls and crystal are open. Haven't fished Bolton in years.
Might give it a try. Who knows. I'll be somewhere

I'm planning to hit Breakneck Saturday. If the edges on Quaddick harden up I want to go there while there's still ice. I might go to Halls or Crystal (Eastford/Woodstock) tomorrow.

hey Willy
Ive been out a few times to bolton this year, got a nice cat and a largemouth this year, it was dry witrh  good edges last night. I seem to only catch tiny perch there, but the allure of a catching a 5 lb cat make things interesting. About 14 " of ice,

i might try it matt. do you go in off the launch on 44. used to fish off the dike there in open water. caught some nice bass and perch. if you like cats and can find a way to get on columbia lake is full of them. unfortunatly it doesn't have much access.

yup, the launch off of 44, i was fishing the eastern shore, I like the dike in the summer, with my canoe. doesnet get much pressure in the winter, though with every thing pretty much shut down the remaining ice fisherman in the area will be hitting it up. I shy from crystal, never seem to catch anything, bolton is a ten minute drive for me too.

Checked out Quaddick this morning. 5 trucks on the side of the road, saw a few groups out there. Stepped out on the ice, seems ok. I'm hitting there in the morning, be off by noon. May try again Sunday, before the rain starts.

If i don't go to Breakneck tomorrow maybe I'll try Quaddick. But I'm tempted to try Halls again, I had a good time there today. Got a 20" pickerel and a perch just under 15".
