I laugh because I belong to about a half a dozen local outdoor/hobby related web sites just like iceshanty. I am on them all the time when the season is in, leave when it is over and return to them when that time approaches again.

Anyway, What other hobbies/activities/types of fishing do you do?

Me:

All Year Round: I am an avid boardgamer and have a collection of over 200 boardgames/wargames (not so much monopoly Risk but what is called Euro or designer Games) you can catch the buzz at boardgamegeek.com
I love playing games with family, friends and several game clubs I belong to. I am always looking for new recruits.

I also
Fly Fish (as in addict)
Spin/Bait Cast Fish (I am not a fly fishing snob. I like chucking worms as well)
Canoe
Deep Sea Fish when I get the chance
Hike
Camp
Mountain Bike
I love to play Disc Golf (Alway looking for others who throw the disc as well. This is the cheapest hobby I have)
I archery Hunt (Deer)
Rifle Season Hunt (Deer)
Turkey Hunt (Spring)
I am avid downhill and XC ski (so yes I do like the snow despite the slush)
Cooking (BBQ, roll sushi, whatever)
Run 5k
Some homebrewing/cider making ( I love IPAs)
Finally, I am a buffalo wing freak., I am always on the look out for the best wings to be found.

what about you?

Disc Golf is great. $30 investment in a putter, mid range disc and driver and that is all you need.

Not sure where you live but this will let you know where the closest courses are.

Hunt turkeys, ducks, and deer. Shoot my bow constantly. I love 3 D shoots. Always scouting and hanging stands come July. Training the dog for duck hunting. Stripers and flounder fit in there too. Fishing just passes the time till its time to kill some critters.

trout and salmon fish and turkey hunt the spring, fish for stripers all summer long with the occasional tuna and cod trip about once a month, when fall rolls around I try and hit the fall striper blitz then I duck hunt non stop until deer season, then duck hunt some more and fish the rivers for browns.

just in time to start slamming the cod and haddock /turkey season also/then bring on flyfishing the Conn river/bowhunting/bird hunting/ deer season /back to ice fishing what a terrible cycle at least that what the wife thinks.

Yes Sir all NH Browns from last year!  I spent a lot of time on the water last year and I mean a lot.  Wont claim to be a very good fisherman but I am persistent and as long as the lines in the water I've got a chance!

Great Looking Browns BFF! That's the key to Big Trout fishing right there....Persistance and Patience...Some times you wonder how long you'll hafta wait until that next Big one hits? But ya gotta Love it when they do! Great Job  ;)

Spring fishing, then catching up on all the stuff that I didn't do around the house because I was standing on frozen puddles for 3 1/2 months.

I love to garden too. Herbs (legal!), medicinal and culinary.

I take my bow, muzzleloader, and rifle for walks in the woods. Last year I came out with a 1968 license plate.  :-\

I think that's it...in that order.  ;D
Thinkin 'bout cusk on the grill......
