Coming back south from Highpoint there is the Elias Cole, I'd guess its 3-5 miles from the top of HighPoint. Bar-B-Q. It's been a while, but they have been there 4-ever.

Back in Newton there is the Appel-Bee's near the home depot. Plastic food, but it's OK.

Over on Rt-15 south by the ball park is Yetter's diner. Burgers to full dinner. Good solid food and not to pricey.

Hey Don ho...

I'm a cheapo and when I eat with the wife I go to Shoprite to their deli department.  You can get all the great food
you want at a price that is welcoming to the pocket book.  You might have to go to an isle to pick up some plastic forks and spoons,
and some napkins.  I do this all the time through out the year and it saves a bundle of money.

Ain't nothing cheap anymore. Drove around with the wife yesterday and stopped at this great sandwich shop in Vernon. "Place By The Tracks". $15.07 for 2 sandwiches and 2 sodas, no pickle, no chips, no salads. Great eats. What does a guy with 2-3-4 kids do these days?

The Andover diner is close to Aeroflex. Near Mt. Hope pond is the Mt. Hope Deli and down the street towards the mall is Spain Rincon restaurant. I'm not so sure they the 2nd one is cheap though. Also towards the town of Rockaway (on Mt. Hope Rd. not Mt. Hope Ave.) is Brick Oven Pizza they have a decent menu and are cheaper.

You could probably watch your tip ups from Sheridans in Andover, it's just north of Aeroflex, AND it's right on Iliff.

Yetters on 15 is pretty much a sure thing, I've been eating there since the early '80's. There's that dive in burger joint not far from Yetters. Pretty good food and lot's of indoor scenery.

If you are in the mood for great BBQ around andover/arowflex, take rt 206 north another 5 minutes past limecrest road and go to The Smokehouse.  Lockwood tavern and NJ Bar and Grill west are good too. You wont be disappointed.
If you are out by mt hope pond, try Anthony's on main street in Rockaway Boro
A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.

Good thing about the Boat House is you can fish and she can sit in the restaurant and watch you if she wants.  Bonus is grat food and atmosphere.
