Clam Runners/Hyfax...which side faces tub?
« on: Jan 25, 2012, 06:24 PM »
I just got a Yukon and want to start building.  The runners do not say which way faces the tub.  I assume that the groove side faces the ice and provides a space for the screw heads, but you know what happens when one assumes!  Please advise, thanks!

Yep, that's the way the Clam runners went on my Guide.  The screw heads will not dig into the ice that way.

One tip, use a hair dryer and warm up the runner where it bends to conform to the bend at the front of the tub.  Makes the install much easier.

Also, do a youtube search.  There were some excellent videos on there that helped me through the install.
