I crossed mine over to a Bosch as I have a dislike for champion plugs..
I think that is mostly cosmetic. A Champion plug is not very pretty to look at. An AC, Autolite, Bosch, NGK, a-n-y plug looks better!
As for function? I've seen 'Champs' perform like one also! I'm almost positive the plug on my auger is a run of the mill lawnmower Champ and it's been running my auger for nearly 20 years. Granted, maybe 5-10 hours use per year isn't much but it starts on 4th pull (from cold, 1 or 2 if warmed) almost every time because it does not have a primer, or I could probably do it in one pull if it did. Plug-wise, I have absolutely no prejudice.
