Found this today...a little cheaper then what I paid for mine...not sure if in stock..but they have them listed on sale...for $479.00..I paid $499.00 for mine

Redrock had them for $459, with the adapter.  Price went up to 499 this week.

Sometimes you can get lucky and find them in the bargain cave. Like 4 years ago I saw one in the local Cabela's bargain cave for $370. Not a huge bargain but a decent price. My local Tanaka dealer has the newest powerhead and its priced at $599.99.

Does the Nils ice auger fit the gearbox shaft or do you have to buy an adapter? If you need an adapter, where are they sold. how much are they?

You need an adapter. You could more than likely buy them from Nils directly.
