Under a tipup just after dark, the shiner it hit had to be 4"+, I was expecting a bass or pickerel.

Tried the same area on that pond again yesterday- lightning did not strike twice, all I got were bullheads and not even a small perch. Ah well, gotta be glad to just catch one big perch.

Supposedly big perch are common where I caught it, ice is falling apart but I'll definately hit it again in the open water. Lots of little islands to fish off of.
