it was a pain to get on the ice, but i made it.  i didnt go to the launch, i went to the cove after the launch. i didnt get any on tip ups, but manage to get two rainbows, some nice perch and lots of sunnies jigging. lost two rainbows at the whole. were u fishing right off the launch in mash? i drove by there and saw someone fishing there. i was there around 1:30. let me kno if u plan on fishing coventry during the day. i kno u wants to go at night to get eyes, but im not ready for night fishing yet. i want to go there sometime.

I'd be the one surrounded by the funny looking wind jigging tip ups and falling on her face when my snow shoes got stuck in ice. WT was fishing not far from me so it could've been either of us- only he got a fish.
I'd settle for fishing anytime of the day, I tend to stick closer to home than Coventry but it's not that far by the map. If i get on the ice tomorrow it'll probably be at Camp Nahaco.

velcro i like those tipups. i never seen them before. not in stores or catalogs. the only issue i have is the flags are short. in deep snow i'm wondering how easy they are to see from a distance. as long as they catch fish thats all that matters.

And even that could be modified if needed. Heck you modified pens and alarms to make light indicators so changing out flags shouldnt be a big deal!
You are like the macgyver of ice fishing!!! ;D

I think the seller's name on ebay is tipupguy. They're neat tip ups, but I've noticed that one windy days it's my humble 3-stick tip ups that get flags, and on still days it's the wind tip ups that get flags.
Hehe, FLIGHT! I think I might need new batteries in one or more of my tip up lights, either that or the wiring needs work. Those drawer lights would work even better, save me from having to solder, but I can never find them when I need them. I clipped on some bells so hopefully I can hear when they go off, but with all that snow I don't know if I can see flags or even lights.
