I just got off the phone with Darren.  The guys are on Pinehurst lake as we speak.  I gave them some coordinants over the phone for a few key spots on the lake.  Hopefully they'll fair well.  Yesterday they fished Beaver and Lac La Biche lakes.  They were targeting walleye on Beaver but the area they were fishing is primarily pike water.  They were fishing in around the first cluster of islands from the west end.  The first time I fished the lake I made the same mistake, it looks so inviting it's hard not to fish it.  Some of the best fishing for walleyes is actually right at the beach where you access the lake.  I think they caught a few small pike.  They fished Lac La biche in the afternoon at the causeway.  They caught a few nice perch in the 10-11" range, and one of the guys caught a Burbot.  They are going back to Beaver to try the beach tonight at sunset.  I am meeting them in LLB in the morning for a day of fishing.  I'll give a report when I return.  Perhaps I can get a few pics as well...

Just spent some time with the guys on Beaver Lake.  Saw some wallys caught.  Living here, it gives me a whole lot of satisfaction to see the "aliens" catch what we can go out to get on a daily basis!!!! ;D ;)  Gave the boys the proper directions to catch on Blackett & Kinnaird.

Just got back from Blackett Lake.  Was a great time.  Fishing was the slowest I have experienced in a while.  The guys are already talkin' about hitting Blackett and Kinnaird in February.  Think I might have to check it out again, heck maybe next week ;D ;).  Blackett seems like it has lots of potential.  Kinnaird probably gets fished even less.  Can't wait to do it again...

Twas great meeting BB and Trev.  Hopefully the next time we hook up the fishing will be hotter (and the traffic not so bad :-[) but none the less a great time was had by all the southern folk.  Hope to see you guys again soon.  May swing by LLB in feb and hopefully we'll see ya somewhere down south before that Trev.

Cheers and thanks for the info you guys.
I fish therefore I AM!
