The lightest line I use is 10 lb test and on the big fish meat hook I run 20 lb test

I recently respooled with 8# PowerPro Braid (2lb diam). A huge difference over the 10# mono I had been using.

Depends on what you are jigging with for a pole, old school wooden jig stick or an actual jigging rod. The wooden jig pole I use some 30 pound braid, with a 12 pound flouro leader, the jig pole with a reel I use 10 pound test flouro.
