Pathfinder report
« on: Jan 14, 2011, 08:42 PM »
I fished pathfinder on tuesday the 11th. I fished for a couple hours across from bishop boat ramp. I fished at night and will inform you that I didn't do any good. It is really hard to find good spots in the dark. I had never fished by bishop before so I was only going off of what I saw on a map. In the dark a lot of spots look like points and turn out not to be. We did find a point but I think we fished to shallow. the break was from 8-15 feet. I never marked any fish. The biggest problem was that it was butt cold. -3 without the wind chill. I was trying to catch walleye so maybe if I would have targeted trout I would have done better.
Any way happy fishing.

I bought a map of both Pathfinder and Alcova at Rock Mtn. Discount Sports a year ago, I know they still have them for Alcova, they dint have any depth contours but they do have where the main river channel runs and where the submerged islands are at....if I remember right they were about $4 each

Hit up pathfinder today with my dad and my little boy, we ended up landing 10 bows and missed 4 others biggest one was 22" long and 5lbs (big fat fish, 14" girth) all the others were between 17"-20" and one small one about 12" that ended our day
