I would be more then happy to tell you my pattern so that you may replicate it around the lake. My name is Trevor Stay and I am a guide on saratoga lake. The name of my guide service is Anglers Edge and am currently in my third year of operation. I absolutely love teaching people how to catch the various types of species that our lake has to offer with conservation in mind. These jumbos were caught in 5ft. of water on the inside edge of any sandy milfoil drop off. Sure enough the walleyes are actually feeding in these same areas Early morning and then dropping off as the light gets alittle more intense. Once the light is up at about alittle after an hour of sunrise the perch will move in. These big bruts only really travel in schools of I believe maybe 6-10 perch.....? That is my thoery. Im using 4lb test-clear by a company named Gamma. If you have never used this line before you are really missing out.  No weight and a small salmon treble hook tipped with a fat-head about 12-15 inches off the bottom and just let him swim like crazy. You can arrange your tip-ups as the day goes on to the areas were the most action is, maybe even drilling a few jign holes around it. The one brut I am holding up is alittle over 15 in. and would have been a good one to mount for sure. Love talking about fishing! Anyone have any questions please feel free to give me a call.
