Got 3 dinks in 3 hours at Mormon Hill today..Fished from 1:30-4:30. I suggest going out in front of Hq near the bull rushes.

My boy fished from the HQ today and did poorly on gills, but had 14 flags.  A limit of bass and one broke off leader (got et).

He never saw it.  Says he slammed the set and the set slammed back.  Bettin it was one of them toothy critters they been getting down there.

Bluegill Bill,Crappie George, and I are going to Nyona to check out the ice and hopefully the fish ! , Might head to the slough if ice is thin on Nyona, The three of us are all 292 retired factory - Rats. Be Careful and good fishing !

FISHED FROM 8 TILL 1:30 ONE GILL ABOUT 5 INCHES. HAD TWO TIP-UPS' WITH SHINNERS. NO FLAGS. TUFF DAY. ICE WAS VERY SLICK.SNOWED ABOUT 1 OR 2. BLEW ALL OVER ICE AND REALLY MADE IT SLICK. GOT CHECKED BY C.O. REAL NICE GUY. TALKED TO HIM ABOUT 3 INCH LETTER ON SLED. HE SAID ONLY IT YOU LEAVE IT ON THE ICE. IF YOU LEFT IT UP AND WENT BACK TO THE TRUCK OR TOWN OR OVERNIGHT.DIDN'T SEE PROBLEM AS LONG AS YOU REMAIN WITH IT.SAID DIDN'T LIKE HEARING ABOUT SMALL GILLS ON ICE. AGREED THAT WAS WASTEFUL. WEATHER WAS WINDY AND BLOWING SNOW.OH WELL GOT OUT OF HOUSE FOR A WHILE AND FISHED WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.    ICETAZ        DID YOU GUYS GO NYONA?OR THE SLOUGH?

Went to Nyona,4 inches of ice. Caught 2 crappie and 5 gills decent size, threw back about 5 dinks. Fished opposite side of lake where MALONES bait store is located. By the way he is closed til April 1st! Thinking of trying Tippy next !
