Where else can I go to get ice fishing gear besides Cabelas and Scheels?  Its been awhile since I was in Rooster, so I need to check out there hard water selection.  A flasher and house are the next two big purchases I need to make.  Craigslist really hasn't had anything good on this side of the state.  The flasher I'll probably end up get online, but the shack will have to be local because of shipping reasons..

Thanks

I just picked up a Marcum LX-5 on Craigs for 300.  Cabelas, Scheels, Rooster are probably your best bets as far as stores go.

I'm going to check Runnings out and see if they have anything.  The one by my parents house in MN usually carries some shelters and augers.

Was looking at stuff last week. Cabelas and Runnings were almost bare already. Scheels and Rooster still had a buncha stuff. Walmart had a good amount too. Hope this helps.

This time of the year is the wrong time to buy a shack and sonar. I'd wait till towards the end of the season, maybe you can catch a deal. I got my smaller shack from Cabelas and save a $100 bucks.

In Rapid, , like the subject line says..

I was in Cabelas and Scheels today... Cabelas hardly has anything, over at Scheels they had a lot and its starting to go on sale..

cabelas has already sold out of about everything they had at the beginning of the season and the re-stock stuff they got in! Hopefully they will take the hint and stock more next year.  ::)

bassmaster, did you ever get you a ICE 55?  Cabelas has 1 and so does Scheels, both listed for $499.00.  I think that I have someone who is a real person, that doesn't want me to ship it across county, that is interested in buy'n my Jeep, so it will be time to stock up on need ice fishing gear soon!

I just checked out the newest Cabela's flier and they have 15% off in stock ice electronics, 20% off shacks sleds and augers, and 30% off jigs. It doesn't sound like there is a whole lot left but it might be worth a look if you need to add to your collection!

I went and looked at them, but they wouldn't budge on the price at Cabelas ( I found them online for $430 shipped and Cabelas wouldn't budge, so I left), and Scheels hasn't had one in months and told me they wouldn't again this year.

I ended up ordering a Eskimo Eskape 350 instead!  ;D ;D

15% off of $500 winds up being $45 off after taxes. That's not bad... maybe I shoulda waited?  ::)

you went in looking for a flasher and ended up with a shanty? LOL

I think I will end up with a ICE 45 or a Vexilar FL18 those are the nicest ones in my price range.

My dad went from the FL-18 to the ICE-55, he's up at Lake of The Woods with it on now been up there for 6 days some far and 2 days left, waiting of a review of Humminbird products.  If its good I think I'll be going with the ICE45.  The only flasher I have ever fished with is his back up FL-8SE, so either one is an upgrade.
