been out a few times, but nothing spectaclar like last year.  last year almost every eye we pulled out was at least 22''.  Is it slow for everyone out there or is my horseshoe gone.  any tips of better places to go foe eyes.  wouldnt mine catching some monster pike, any ideas?

was out yesterday and today, yesterday was slower, managed a few eaters, and today was better but not great. crazy winds out there, starting to drift up but still driveable. still nothing big for me out there but still catching so dont care that much. definately tying the shack off the last couple days with the truck parked right beside it, alot of guys out there in groups it seems. seems like one day there hot the next day there not, but definately move if your not catching, i know it sucks, hard to move when your in a nice warm tent already

Very slow at Balsam today. 7 of us fishing, only 2 fish caught. Fished from just before noon to dark. I managed a 17.5 eye and johnnybravo a 15.5 inch eye. Saw quite a few see the bait on the showdown and follow it up. Tried dangling it around em and nothing. Just not all that interested. Tried tying on new stuff, fish just seemed unimpressed.Fishing in about 14-15 feet. Should have moved but like you said, just tried to keep everything from blowing down the lake. Rediculous wind but still better than twiddling thumbs at home.

RIDGE RUNNERS RULE!!!

Might pick up as the season moves on.  Like you said, a day in the outdoors beats a day inside.  ;)
