went to sandbar today (south side) caught maybe a dozen perch-- some nice sized in a few hours. and caught a northern on a jig with minnow (4-5lbish) almost didn't fit through the 4" hole
it was a little spotty, but worth it for sure. going back again soon.
ice was only around 4" thick in some spots.
