I wear normal thermal items. The price doesnt justify them for me, when thermal costs under 15 dollars.

Under Amour is definitely worth every penny.
I received a pair as a Christmas present years ago and would use no other now
They keep you warm and dry with moisture wicking
I have no vested interest in this company, they just make a great product.

Definately worth the money it cost.  I wear it bow hunting, ice fishing, and when ever it's cold out on the boat.

recommend it highly. have been using it for a few years. awesome. stay away from cotton. it holds moisture which is your worst enemy in the cold.

I've never been uncomfortable when wearing mine...other than it kinda makes you feel like you're putting 2 lbs of crap in a 1 pound bag!  Maybe I should have bought the bigger one...

Definitely keeps me warm though!

That is my advice.  Get a little larger size.  You have to realize under armour is made for sports where it needs to be skin tight so it is out of the way.  While your ice fishing you are going to want it to be tight on your skin to help with the moisture whicking but I would suggest that you do go a size or two up.  It should still be tight but won't be so uncomfortable.  I wear a large usually but I buy either XL or XXL under armour so I can still breath while wearing it.  Also helps with the bigger sizes are longer so you don't have it sneaking up your stomach or back every time you bend over.  My 2 cents.

The benefit of underarmor is not insulation......it is moisture management.  If you plan to work up a sweat then underarmor is the way to go....it wicks moisture away form your skin.  If you are not planning to work hard then the old fashioned thermals are fine and a better bargain than dropping huge money on underarmor.  I hand auger and work up a sweat out there some days and the underarmor is great.  I also wear them when I run in the winter.

Yes, Under Armor is great stuff. Wicks the moisture  away and keeps me warm. If you're concerned about price, Nike makes a similar product for cheaper called NikePro. I wore this in highschool playing football for colder games, works very well. Dicks and SportsAuthority carry it. But bottom line, Under Armor is worth every penny!

Always wear UA gear. Started wearing it when officiating varsity football in Wyoming and it naturally carried over to the ice. I have 4 long sleeves and 6 short sleeves. Haven't tried any other gear and wear them year round at work. Excellent stuff.

That's funny I get hungry too when I work outside, but feel more like a chili cheese coney or maybe a cheese whopper or baconator...

I have been wearing Under Armor Cold Gear for the last 4 years and love it. Buy one size larger than you would normally get so, you don't feel like a "sausage". :) When it gets below 0 wear a layer of UA Heat Gear, then UA Cold Gear, Polar fleece, etc... and stay nice and warm.

About the cost, Under Armor will last for a long long time.

I have a couple tops and bottoms and Under Armour does do the trick - just make sure you buy the Cold Gear (there is a heat gear line designed to keep you cool in hot temps).   The beauty of this product line is it seems to regulate body temps pretty well but in the event you do overheat, it pulls the moisture away from your body.   There is also multiple levels of their cold gear line enabling you to buy for your own comfort level.

Worth the extra you pay.
