All of those meals sound great!  I fish open ice ( no shack) and we usually just pack sandwiches and thermoses of coffee or super sweet tea.  There is something about feeling rugged and outdoorsy when you crunch through the ice crystals in your ham and cheese...... :pinch:  But when you're hungry, it tastes great, too.

Well first of all I would have to say "any food on the ice is good food on the ice" (sounds familiar? "There's no gnews like good gnews")

Ok, anywho, I would have to say that my buddies meat he brings (it's wild game) not sure what it is, maybe Muddler can tell us. It's either elk, deer, moose, or ????, Anyways, those in the sausage, steak, or hamburger is good. Along with "CEASAR SALAD" (crowd goes crazy) ARRRRRRRRRR!!!!

nothing beats fresh venison sausage, eggs and pan warmed biscuits cooked in the shanty by   add some slightly slushy, ice cold OJ and you got a breakfast fit for the kings of ice!
then for lunch there is always warm venison summer sausage sandwiches or just slices of the summer sausage and cheese for a snack!
for dinner we usually go with a good thick homemade soup of some kind or chili is always a crowd pleaser too!

dont forget to squeeze in a nap somewhere during all this food activity too!...lol  ;)2

I take a little weber charcoal grill with me out on the ice and grill up a few of the first rainbows I catch. Nothing better than FRESH grilled trout on the ice.

For me, it's char grilled venison backstrap wrapped in bacon and a baked 'tater. The 'taters, of course, are pre-baked and we just warm them up.

Love the Cheddarwurst sausage with a few peppers and onions on a tasty roll.  Cook it all up in a mess kit on top of Mr. Heater and have at it!!!  Wash it all down with the chilly(or warm) beverage of choice and LIFE IS GOOD!

I have to agree with killitandgrillit on this one. Venison backstrap only I usually bring fried potatos with mushrooms and onions as the side. Sometimes I cut up the venison prior to going out and then mix the steak and taters while cooking, place the mixture in a pita, yumm. Little mess, easy eating, and not a load of stuff to drag out there.

The pliers pizza we had last night in the shack was maybe not the best but pretty good!

Way to many to choose from, but a friend of mine has this venison Italian sausage made up every year that is out of this world.  I'm drooling thinking about it.
Fish may be stupid but I've never seen a perch sitting in a boat with a second degree sun burn trying to catch a man.

Never cooked on the ice but intend to.  These meals sound real good and let me tell you about the best lunch I have ever had on the ice.  It consisted of a king size bag of peanut M&M's.  I dumped them in my coveralls pocket and the trout were biting so fast that day it took me over an hour to eat them.  After taking a fish off the hook, baiting, and getting it back in the water, a fish would bite before I could reach in my pocket a get a hand full.  Caught 53 that day in about 4 hours.  Those interruptions are all right, not like the telemarketers.
Here fishy fishy fishy, I don't want to hurt you, I just want to catch you!
